Light Machine Guns

Light machine guns, or LMG for short, are heavy, fully-automatic weapons, being fed from either a high-capacity magazine or a belt. The light machine gun weapon class in Project Lazarus also includes squad automatic weapons and light support weapons.

In general, light machine guns are powerful weapons with respectable damage and an enormous capacity of ammunition, both in the magazine and in reserve. They are capable of long and uninterrupted sustained fire that can mow down the largest zombie hordes with unrelenting bullets.

However, the heavy nature of LMGs causes them to suffer unwieldy handling characteristics with terribly long reload times. The player's mobility is also hindered when holding a light machine gun.
