The DP-27 is a Soviet fully-automatic light machine gun. It can only be acquired through the Mystery Box.

The DP-27 deals good damage with each shot at a steady and slow fire rate. Recoil on the weapon is low and manageable, especially at its lower rate of fire.

The weapon's distinctive 47-round pan magazine allows the weapon to hold a large volume of ammunition for suppressive fire while maintaining a decent reload time. However, the weapon has a relatively lower magazine size when compared to that of the other belt-fed weapons in its class.

Overall, the high damage and steady fire rate of DP-27 makes it a powerful and controllable light machine gun that can cut through crowds. However, the DP-27's lower rate of fire and magazine capacity can cause it to be slightly unwieldy at times.

Weapon Upgrade[]

When upgraded via the Pack-a-Punch machine, the DP-27 becomes Tachanka's Pride.

With the Lordship Module, the upgraded weapon becomes "mounted" when the player aims down sights and remains completely stationary for 0.8 seconds. The player cannot move or shoot and must continue aiming for the duration in order to mount the weapon.

While mounted, the weapon deals 150% damage and gains 40% recoil reduction. However, the player is unable to move while mounted. The player will exit the mounted state once they stop aiming down sights. As such, actions that would normally stop the player from aiming, such as sprinting and knifing, will also cause the player to unmount.

In addition to the mounting mechanic, Tachanka's Pride benefits from increased base damage. The upgraded weapon also has an increased magazine capacity and a larger pool of reserve ammunition.

Trivia[]

The base weapon model of the DP-27 is built by the Roblox user manofthelol.
DP-27 is short for Pulemyot Degtyaryova Pekhotny in Russian, which translates to "Degtyaryov's infantry machine gun" after the designer of the weapon.
- The 27 refers to 1927, the year the weapon was designed and initially entered service trials.
The name of the upgraded weapon "Tachanka's Pride" is a reference to Tachanka, a playable character in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege who wields a DP-27.
- The upgraded module "Lordship" is a reference a running joke within the Rainbow Six community, in which the character is lovingly referred to as "Lord Tachanka."
The DP-27 visibly fires from an open bolt, with the bolt held to the rear of the receiver when ready to fire.
When firing, the pan magazine of the DP-27 can be seen rotating.
The DP-27 was added on December 10th, 2020 in the DP-27 Update.
