"Muzzle-loaded flintlock rifle. High damage. Lengthy reload." ― Description
The Kentucky Long Rifle, also known simply as the Kentucky Rifle or Long Rifle, is an American muzzle-loading battle rifle. It is a flintlock long-arm that can only be acquired through the Mystery Box.
The single-shot weapon deals tremendous damage. Along with its high base damage, the weapon also has very high damage multipliers for its class and are closer to that of sniper rifles. In addition, the weapon has exceptionally high bullet penetration, even for a battle rifle. As such, a well placed shot can easily take out multiple zombies.
Because the weapon is a flintlock rifle, the weapon has a pre-fire delay to simulate the flintlock mechanism. There is a small delay of 0.12s between the trigger pull and when the weapon actually fires. This delay can make it more challenging to place accurate shots.
Notably, the weapon has a very lengthy reload as a muzzle-loader. The complicated reload process of a muzzle-loading flintlock means that reloads are very slow.
Overall, the Kentucky Long Rifle boast substantial damage and penetration as a single-shot flintlock rifle. However, being a historic weapon, it is relatively unwieldy and suffers from a very long downtime between shots.

Trivia[]
- The base weapon model of the Kentucky Long Rifle is built by the Roblox user CoderQwerty.
- The model in-game is based on a modern recreation of the Kentucky Rifle, the Traditions Deluxe .50 cal Flintlock Kentucky Rifle.
- The weapon is called the Kentucky rifle because it was popular amongst American pioneers that crossed over the Appalachian Mountains into Kentucky in the late 18th to early 19th centuries.
- It was one of the first commonly-used rifles.
- In real life, the weapon is also known as the Pennsylvania rifle, American long rifle, and most accurately as the Lancaster Rifle.
- These names refer to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where the rifle was developed.
- The reserve ammunition pool of 76 refers to 1776, the year the United States of America declared independence from Great Britain with the Declaration of Independence.
- The name of the upgraded weapon is a reference to the "Concord Hymn" poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
- The poem was written to commemorate the battles of Lexington and Concord, a series of battles and skirmishes on April 19, 1775 that sparked the American Revolutionary War and led to the creation of the United States.
- The poem is the origin of the phrase "the shot heard round the world", referring to the first shot fired in the skirmish and its extraordinary historical impact around the world.
- The buff gained after hitting a headshot with the upgraded weapon "Tally-Ho" is the traditional cry made by the huntsman to tell others the quarry has been sighted.
- This is a reference to the "Own a Musket for Home Defense" copypasta, which also mentions the Kentucky rifle.
- The flintlock mechanism visually operates when firing, with the hammer striking the frizzen and igniting the gunpowder in the pan.
- After firing, the gunpowder in the pan is visually depleted.
- During the inspect animation of the loaded weapon, the player adjusts the hammer to half-cock as a safety measure.
- The Kentucky Long Rifle was added in the Independence Update on July 4, 2024.
