"Full-auto compact submachine gun. High fire rate. Good handling." ― Description
The MAC-10 is an American full-automatic submachine gun. It can only be acquired through the Mystery Box.
The weapon has high rate of fire, allowing it to output substantial damage at close range. Despite its high fire rate, the weapon has relatively manageable recoil. This allows to player to remain on target during sustained fire with relative ease.
The MAC-10 also has good handling characteristics with a relatively swift reload. This proves beneficial as reloads are frequent, due to the weapon's high rate of ammo consumption.
Overall, the MAC-10 deals good damage for use up close. Its rate of fire, good handling, and fast reloads makes the weapon relatively easy to use. However, the weapon does not do a great amount of damage per shot and can quickly use up its ammunition pool if not careful.
Pros & Cons[]
Pros:
- Very high rate of fire.
- Manageable recoil.
- Good handling.
- Compact nature allows the player to move at full mobility.
Cons:
- Consumes ammo quickly due to its rate of fire.
- Has to be acquired through chance from the Mystery Box.
Weapon Upgrade[]
When upgraded via the Pack-a-Punch machine, the MAC-10 becomes Montague and Capulet.
With the Star-Crossed Module, the upgraded weapon is wielded akimbo, with a gun in each hand. Having two guns at once effectively doubles magazine size with twice the fire rate and damage output.
However, dual wielding will limit the accuracy of the weapon. While firing from the hip, there will be more bullet spread, at 5.0 minimum to 8.0 maximum (up from 2.0 minimum to 5.0 maximum). While aiming down sights, the upgraded weapon will now retain a bullet spread of 5.5 (up from 0 spread while aimed).
The upgraded weapon uses an entirely new set of animations for dual wielding two guns. Reloading Montague and Capulet is slower than the base weapon, as both guns need to be reloaded.
In addition to dual wielding, Montague and Capulet benefit from increased base damage and a higher headshot multiplier. The upgraded weapon also gains a larger pool of ammunition reserves to feed its increased ammunition consumption.
