"Semi-auto sniper rifle. Fast fire rate. Good magazine capacity." ― Description
The MSSR is a Filipino semi-automatic sniper rifle. It is part of the M16 Expansion, along with the M4 SOPMOD II and the R0635.
It can be obtained through the Mystery Box if the player owns the weapon pack.
Pros & Cons[]
Pros:
- High rate of fire for a sniper rifle.
- High magazine capacity.
- Forgiving to use.
- Suited for spam firing.
Cons:
- Low damage and penetration for a sniper rifle.
- Will quickly require two or more shots to kill.
- Has to be acquired through chance from the Mystery Box.
Weapon Upgrade[]
When upgraded via the Pack-a-Punch machine, the MSSR becomes Misery.
With the Despair Module, the upgraded weapon gains a permanent 10% increase to fire rate every 10 kills. This effect can stack infinitely. However, its effect at higher stacks becomes limited due to the semi-automatic nature of the weapon.
In addition to the fire rate increase, Misery gains increased damage and a higher multiplier for shots to the head. The upgraded weapon also has a larger magazine capacity and a larger maximum ammunition reserve.

Trivia[]
- The base weapon model of the MSSR is built by the Roblox user manofthelol.
- MSSR stands for Marine Scout Sniper Rifle.
- Although the MSSR may be categorized as a designated marksman rifle due to its lower range and smaller caliber, it is classified as a sniper rifle by the Philippine Marine Corps.
- Shorter effective range was less of a factor due to the shorter ranges encountered in jungle combat, where the rifle is primarily used.
- The Philippine Army SDMR (Squad Designated Marksman Rifle) is a derivative of the MSSR designed for their Scout Rangers specifically to serve a designated marksman rifle role.
- When reloading, magazine catch of the MSSR visually functions as the magazine is removed and as fresh magazine is inserted into the weapon.
- When the last round of the magazine is fired from the MSSR, the bolt is held open and the bolt release button is visibly engaged.
- The MSSR is outfitted with an American ACOG scope instead of a traditional high-magnification sniper scope, similar to the other sniper rifles in-game.
- The MSSR was added in the Crossbow Update on April 15, 2021 as part of the M16 Expansion.
