The perk's main effect reduces reload time of all weapons by 50%, effectively doubling reload speed. For rebuilding barriers, it reduces the time between each plank from 0.75s to 0.4s, effectively increasing barrier repair speed by 87.5%.
Overall, Speed Cola mainly allows the player to reload their weapons faster. This minimizes the amount of time they are left vulnerable while refilling their weapon. The effect of this perk is most noticeable on slow reloading weapons, such as light machine guns like the M249 SAW or shotguns like the Remington 870 that need to reload shell by shell.
